Gwalia, Cymdogaeth and CartrefiChair of Grŵp Gwalia Rt. Rev Anthony E. Pierce BA (Wales) MA (Oxon)
Rt. Rev. Anthony E Pierce was formerly the Bishop of Swansea and Brecon prior to his retirement in January this year. He is President of the Friends of the Swansea Festival of Music and the Arts and sits on the Council of the University of Wales, Swansea. He is also the sub prelate of St John Cymru. Anthony also sits on the Cymdogaeth and Cartrefi Boards.

Grŵp Gwalia Vice Chair Judge Ray Singh CBE VS Barrister at Law
Ray Singh is a Barrister-at-Law and District Judge. He is an Independent Chair of the Complaints Panel for the Welsh Assembly Government and sits on the Judicial Studies Board of the Equal Treatment Advisory Committee. From 1996 to 2002, he was Commissioner for Wales for the Commission for Racial Equality. He is also a Board Member of Neath Victim Support, and a Governor of both Swansea Institute for Higher Education, and Swansea College. Ray also sits on the Cartrefi Board.

Gwalia and CymdogaethChair of Tai Cymdogaeth Martin Morris
Martin retired as Chief Officer of Carmarthenshire Community Health in 2006. He is currently a Non Executive Director with Hywel Dda NHS Trust and Chair of the West Wales Continuing NHS Health Care Appeal Panel. He is also a school governor and a trustee of the Llanelli and District Hydrotherapy Pool Committee. Martin also sits on the Gwalia Board.

Gwalia and Care & SupportChair of Gwalia Care & Support Venerable A. J. Randolph Thomas Dip. Theol
The Venerable Randolph Thomas is the Archdeacon of Brecon. He is a former Magistrate,and Chaplain to the Mid and West Fire Brigade. He is the Acting Chair of the Council of Trinity College,Carmarthen and a member of Chairs of Higher Education Wales. He is also a Non-Executive Director ot the Hywel Dda NHS Trust and Deputy Chair of Cartrefi Cymru. He serves as a School Governor for Christ College, Brecon. Randolph also sits on the Gwalia Board.

Chair of Tai Cartrefi Eifion Griffiths
Eifion is a former Director of Business Services at the University of Wales, Swansea, where he had responsibility for Student Housing, Sports and other support services. Previously he was a Senior Manager with Lloyds Bank . He is currently an Associate with Asset & Infrastructure Management Solutions Ltd (AIMS), a Non Executive Director with Hywel Dda NHS Trust and a Community councillor. Eifion also sits on the Gwalia Board.

GwaliaGrŵp Gwalia Honorary President Mrs Andrea Morse Dip. Voluntary & Community Organisations
Andrea Morse is Co-Director of an Investments Company and Vice Chair of Swansea Citizens Advice Bureau. Born and educated in Swansea, her background is in Business and Development and she holds qualifications in Volunteering in the Community, and Social Policy. She owned and managed a successful business from the age of 21, but retired to raise a family with her husband, a local solicitor. During this period she was involved in Fundraising for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, and the Children's Ward at Morriston Hospital in Swansea. She has been involved with Grŵp Gwalia Cyf for twelve years, has served on the Boards of Cartrefi and Gwalia Care & Support, and has held a number of posts including Chair of Area Committee (Tai Cymdogaeth), Chair of Tai Cartrefi , Chair of Audit Committee and Group Deputy Chair.

Gwalia, Cymdogaeth and the TrustGrŵp Gwalia Honorary President Mrs Edwina Drew MBE
Edwina O Drew is a retired Headteacher of Dyfatty Special School for Physically Handicapped Children. She is President of Swansea Neath Port Talbot Crossroads Caring for Carers Scheme. Edwina also sits on the Cymdogaeth and Gwalia Housing Trust Boards.

Gwalia, Cymdogaeth and the TrustGrŵp Gwalia Honorary President Mrs Margaret E. Thorne CBE DL
Margaret Thorne is Vice President of the British Red Cross (South Wales), Chair of the Wales Association of County Voluntary Councils and holds the Queen’s Medal of Honor.  She is also Chair of the Neath Port Talbot Council Voluntary Service and an Executive Member of the Wales Council for Voluntary Action. She is Vice Chair and Governor for Ysgol Maes y Coed Special School, Neath and a Governor of Catwg Primary School.  In 2006 she was awarded the CBE for services to Neath Port Talbot Voluntary Service and in July of this year was given the Freedom of the Borough of Neath Port Talbot. Margaret also sits on the Cymdogaeth and Gwalia Housing Trust Boards.

Group Treasurer Paul Hodges MA (Oxon) Dip. SocAdmin
Paul J Hodges is a retired University Administrator and a former High Sheriff of West Glamorgan. He is Vice Chair of the south Wales Area Victim Support Committee, and a member of Swansea Victim and Witness Support Committee. Paul also sits on the Tai Cartrefi Board.

Board Members receive no payment for their work. They can, however, claim out of pocket expenses.

Gwalia Care & SupportDame June Clarke DBE, PhD, RN, RHV, FRCN
Professor Emeritus, University of Wales Swansea. June has over 25 years experience in Nursing, Community Nursing and Education. She is a Council Member and Vice President of the Welsh Nursing Academy. She is a Trustee of Age Concern Cymru.

Heather Coats is a Member of the Disability Appeal Tribunal, a Member of the Welsh Consumer Council and a retired Training Officer.

Tim Davies
Tim joined the Nationwide Building Society in 1986 after he left University. Since then, he has worked in a variety of roles within Nationwide and is now a Senior Branch Manager in Swansea. A Welsh speaker, Tim is also a Governer of Ysgol Gyfun Gŵyr Gowerton.

Georgina Hayman BSc PGCE C.Eng MICE MWES
Georgina has a BSc in Engineering Science and is a qualified Civil Engineer. She is also a qualified Teacher. She has been both a School Governor and a Sunday School Teacher and now works as a part time IT Tutor in the Department of Continuing Adult Education at Swansea University.

Chantal Patel is a Lecturer in medical law & ethics in the Department of Philosophy history and Law located within the School of Health Science at Swansea University. She is also a Governor at Swansea College, a Magistrate, Chair of external review panel for HCW, an external examiner at Queen’s University Belfast, a member of the African Community Centre and a lifelong member of the Indian Association.
